Makenna!

Makenna was telling me last night how “some kids just think that Christmas is about toys”….I am thinking, aww, she is so sweet (thinking she is going to go on to say it’s about family and the day Jesus was born…BUT, she then says….”and I am one of them!”…little spoiled brat! lol! Then Jeff said that she told him she wants to be Jewish, Jeff says Why????, she says Joelle gets presents for 8 days cause she is Jewish! lol!

Creative Spelling for little ones…

Obviously Makenna doesn’t know how to spell all words yet, she brought home a jack-o-lantern that she made with construction paper, which had lined paper connected to the bottom of it…one of many funny words was nothing..which she wrote “nufn” LOL! She makes an “f” sound when she is saying the “th”! lol! I thought that was funny! Anyway, she will get those words too, when they come! ;)

Makenna’s 1st spelling test 11-12-10 1st grade

Makenna has been studying for her very first spelling test! She now gets a list of words on Monday and has to take her test on Friday! She was a little “scared” about it, but she did great! She got 100% and a 4* on her sentence, meaning she had to have proper spelling, punctuation, spacing, capitalization and neat writing! :) She was only 1 of 3 kids that got a special prize for getting everything right! :) Yay Makenna!

Then…

a little while later…Makenna is still in my Mom and Dad’s room (they have big mirror sliding doors on their closet doors, like two big wide mirrors) and Makenna is laying on the bed and has the blanket up to her chin…my Dad comes in and she is looking his way and noticed herself in the mirrors and said to my Dad “doesn’t it look like someone cut off my head and put it on the pillow?” 

Again, just pointing out the fact that you can’t see her body and it looked like just her head way laying there…and halloween, just being over…but yes again…sounding like a weirdo! lol!

Wouldn’t that be weird?….if…

So, we are at my Mom and Dad’s house and Makenna is in my Mom and Dad’s room…my Mom walks in and Makenna says “Grandma wouldn’t it be weird if you came in and someone else was in your bed?” Mom looks at her and asks her “like who?” Makenna says “like another man…or my Daddy?” 

What a silly kid! Haha! I think she is thinking of Goldie Locks…but it makes her sound like a werido! lol!

An “Oops” for God! ;) hehe!

A few days ago, we were walking and Jeff and Makenna were talking about the planets and the sun…Jeff asked Makenna if she knew which planet was so hot that you would burn up if you set one foot on it….she said Venus because God accidentally put it too close to the sun! lol! I just love her! =)

Hard taco for the tooth…

Makenna has a very loose tooth, STILL in her mouth, it has been pretty loose for at least 2 weeks…she won’t let me pull it out, even though, I wouldn’t really try until it is, like it is now, even though I have been joking with her about pulling it, long ago! 

So my Mom, Makenna and I are at Taco Bell, she says “this better be a hard one” I said, “no I got your soft” She is looking at it, and said “If it was hard it would…” then gestured the tooth coming out after putting her little hand toward the taco and then to her tooth!

(Don’t really know how to explain it, but it was cute!)

Wanting a bra…then a phone….

Makenna calls me in her room and is asking me how to put a “bikini top” on that came with a hula skirt from Hawaii…and she is telling me she wants to put it on and then her clothes…so I say “You want to put on a bra” she shakes her head yes…I say “Bras are for when you are big” she says “I am 6” Then she asks a little while later how many days until she can get a phone! She so wants to be like her big cousin and my Goddaughter!

Being 6...

• Makenna: "Mommy"
• Mommy: "What?"
• Makenna: "I am finally 6...but I don't feel like it.."
• Mommy: "Well, how do you think you are supposed to feel?"
• Makenna: "Well...like, I don't feel like I got any bigger..."
• So cute! : )

…So frickin bad…

we are driving and the song “I wanna be a billionaire” comes on and after it says “I wanna be a billionaire…sooo frickoin bad” Makenna says… “why did they say that bad word…they could have just said, “I REALLY wanna be a billionaire”

Happy 6th Birthday Makenna!!!

It has been a very busy last few weeks! Lots of exciting things going on! 

But today is the day that my baby girl turned 6 years old! Today is the day that God gave me the best gift of all, my little girl!! 

I had to work at the Garden City Hospital today and couldn’t wait to come home! When I did, we spent the rest of the day in, nice and relaxing! You got your other birthday gift from Daddy and me! And Grandma and Grandpa came over and brought you an iCarly cake and got the pizza! :) And Grandma knew how much you are loving nail polish and nail stuff these days, so she bought you some nail polish and your first fancy stuff for them too! Then, Grandpa Jim came over and took you for ice cream! :)

I love you more then anything Makenna! You make my heart melt and my blood boil! Even when you are a monster, I wouldn’t trade you for the world! 

You are seeming to be a little nervous about first grade, but I know you will do great and so does your Kindergarten teacher Mrs. Rozum! :) You keep asking everyone what 1st grade was like for them! It’s taking everyone back to some fun, innocent days! :)

I will fill you more in, with what has been going on the last couple of weeks tomorrow!!! :)

Money!

So we were low on the cash and Makenna wanted to do something or go somewhere…I forgot what…and Jeff told her we didn’t have any money until we got paid for babysitting…we were supposed to get paid that day…so when my friend got to our house…Makenna was telling Jeff “Daddy…Jamie…………Daddy…Jamie…”and when he looked at her she was moving her eyes and head from him to Jamie and had her hand by her side and made the cash motion with her fingers! lmao! Jeff was embarassed and was thinking Jamie saw her do it! haha! Good thing it was a good friend and not me! haha!
